St. John’s MCC is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to join our dynamic, inclusive, and justicecentered pastoral team. This vital leadership role will partner with our Senior Pastor to help guide the daily life of the church, with a strong emphasis on administration, ministry coordination, and digital campus leadership.

As we continue to grow and serve both our local and online communities, we’re looking for someone who is highly organized, passionate about people, and called to ministry that blends behind-the-scenes structure with visible leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the administrative operations of the church and collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth day-to-day functions.

• Serve as the primary contact for ministry leaders, community group leaders, and volunteer coordinators.

• Manage church communications including newsletters, social media, and online platforms.

• Lead and grow the Digital Campus Ministry, creating opportunities for online worship, discipleship, and community engagement.

• Partner with the Senior Pastor in coordinating ministry teams and strategic planning.

• Provide visible pastoral presence in worship (welcome, announcements, occasional preaching).

• Support the church’s mission of radical inclusion, justice, and community transformation.

Who We’re Looking For:

• A leader with strong administrative and organizational gifts.

• A passionate pastor with experience (or deep interest) in digital ministry and online engagement.

• A collaborative and relational person who enjoys equipping others and helping teams thrive.

• Someone who thrives in an inclusive, affirming, and diverse spiritual community.

• Tech-savvy with the ability to manage communication platforms and digital tools (social media, Canva, email marketing, etc.).

• A strong communicator, planner, and team builder. Qualifications:

• Master of Divinity or equivalent theological training (or in progress).

• Prior ministry experience (paid or volunteer) in a congregational or digital setting.

• Commitment to serving in an LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist, and radically inclusive faith community.

• Familiarity with or openness to the theology and mission of Metropolitan Community Churches.
